The Security Council decided today to remove two individuals from its Islamic State i n Iraq and the Levant (ISIL/Da'esh) and Al-Qaida sanctions list - including the President appointed in the wake o f Syria's December 2024 popular uprising - a s delegates widely welcomed efforts t o lift all obstacles to the country's economic recovery.
