True success is not just about having money; it’s about having the right mindset, knowledge, and determination to turn challenges into opportunities. After years of struggling with her business, Empowered Worldview (EWV) training became a life-changing experience for Madam Elizabeth.
Elizabeth is a 51-year-old mother of five boys who lives at Ashaiman in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. Her biggest dream is to ensure that all her children receive quality education and become successful in life. Her main source of income is a small grocery shop, where she sells fast-moving consumable goods (FMCGs) and other household goods.
"Before joining the Empowered Worldview training, I believed all I needed was money to grow my business. I never knew that knowledge and the right mindset were just as important," Elizabeth says with a smile.
She started her business with a small grocery shop in front of her house. However, without enough resources, the business remained small, and she struggled to pay for her children’s school fees.
Determined to grow her business, Elizabeth joined VisionFund Ghana in 2023 and took a small loan. This financial support helped her to buy raw materials she used to start liquid soap production and stocked more goods in her shop.
But the real transformation began when she was introduced to the Empowered Worldview (EWV) training. During the training, Elizabeth had a powerful mindset shift, she realized that true strength comes from within and that God is her ultimate source of support.
"What resonated so much with me was when we were encouraged to look within ourselves and to depend on God for support. That changed everything for me," she recalls.
This realization gave her the confidence to push beyond her limitations and to take bold steps toward success. With her new mindset, renewed vision, and skills, Elizabeth completely transformed her business:
- She went back to her liquid soap and detergents production, a skill she had learnt but failed to utilize
- She not only launched the business but also invested in bottling and branding, eventually supplying liquid soap to retailers.
- She began teaching other women how to make soap, turning them into customers who buy raw materials from her.
- She improved customer service, which helped her attract and retain more customers.
- She learned to manage her money wisely, saving and cutting unnecessary expenses.
- She developed a clear plan for the future of her businesses, to have a production factory for the products
"This training has been an eye-opener. I have learned business management skills that I never knew existed. Not only has my business improved, but my relationship with God and my community has also grown stronger," Elizabeth reflects.
Elizabeth’s vision is to build a large supermarket where she can sell all types of groceries and her liquid soap, making shopping more convenient for her community. She has already started saving and purchasing stock for her dream business.
"I urge everyone to take this training seriously. It is not just about business, it is about life. The knowledge I have gained is more valuable than money, and I know that as I continue learning, I will achieve even greater things," she advises.
For Elizabeth Dussey, the EWV training was more than just a business workshop, it was a life-changing experience. It shifted her mindset, gave her the tools to expand her business, and empowered her to dream bigger than ever before. And listening to her story, you will see a clear demonstration of the power of vision, which is a key theme of the EWV training.
